19-5-12 my calves are one of my target areas, I’m aiming to slim them down a bit and tone them up before the shorts come out for summer!
I reckon my abs have toned up since last week, I’ve been knocking pack the green tea and almonds which both help you to lose fat from your abdomen.
Questions are always welcome :)

Tim Ferriss talks about how it helps in The Four Hour Body, but I just wondered if anyone has any experience with this personally.
Hi, so cold showers make you cold so your body has to work harder to keep you warm and therefore burn more calories. However there are far better (and enjoyable) ways to lose weight, eat the right things, do cardio and strength training. Enjoy your hot shower, you deserve it after a hard work out :)
So I have a weight loss question! I’ve heard that it’s good to exercise right around when you wake up. And since that’s also around the “most important meal of the day”, I wasn’t sure if I should eat first or exercise first? And how long should the interval between the two be? Experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)
Hi, personally I don’t have time to work out in the mornings before work so I do my exercise in the evenings and that seems to work for my body. With regards to eating, you definitely need to eat before exercising, it will kick start your metabolism and stop you from keeling over! depending on how much you have eaten for breakfast I suggest you wait 20 mins plus before exercising otherwise you may get a stitch and thats just a good excuse for giving up! I hope this is helpful, Nicola x
Breakfast does NOT make you fat, ok so your breakfast wasn’t the healthiest but its ok to treat yourself every now and then. Breakfast kick starts your metabolism, gives you energy and stops you from eating junk all morning! I find it best to eat 6 times a day though, 3 healthy meals and 3 healthy snacks, that way my metabolism keeps working consistently and I don’t get tempted to snack on the wrong things.
BMI doesn’t take into account whether your weight is fat or muscle. You can get body fat scales that will tell you the percentage of body fat you have on your body. Or you can look in the mirror, I’m sure you know what your body looked like before, if it is a significant weight increase you will be able to see whether you have more fat or more muscle. People often forget that, muscle is heavier than fat, weight gain is not always bad!x

Just done a British Military Fitness class in the rain, reckon its better that way as the mud means lower impact when I’m running, it does get in my hair during situps though!
